We are looking for host families to share their homes with an international student attending an English boarding school.
Host families provide international students with a warm, safe and friendly home and an authentic taste of English life when their school is closed for weekends or during (usually shorter) school holidays — half-term breaks.
By including students in their daily family lives, hosts provide students a "home from home" experience. Host families really enhance the enjoyment of UK life for the students they welcome and provide a wonderful addition to school life. In turn, host families gain richly in terms of learning about a new culture, and many remain in contact with the children they host long after their school days are over — the strength of the bonds that are created.
No two host families are the same. The types of families, homes and relationships are all very different, but successful host families have the same ingredients in common: Comfort, Communication and Care.
Sunshine365 Ltd has looked after international students attending boarding schools in the UK since 2013, as if they were our own children. Thus we are friendship-driven rather than transactional. Your kids are our kids as well.
Part of what we do is to find welcoming and caring host families for our students for short periods of time — for example at the start and end of terms, for occasional weekends, periods of work experience, or for school holidays.
